
Keith Davis
Vice President, Senior Transactional Counsel
Keith Davis is a senior associate with the firm. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English with a Specialization in Business and Administration from UCLA in 1992 and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles) in 1995. After law school, Mr. Davis worked for Clarke & Clarke in Los Angeles, California, where he represented landlords in lease negotiations and landlord/tenant lawsuits, including second chairing a bench trial which resulted in our landlord client securing a defense judgment against all claims from the tenant/plaintiff, as well as litigating unlawful detainer actions.
He then worked for Burkhalter Kessler Clement & George in Irvine, California, where he primarily represented small to medium sized businesses in transactional matters and formation of business entities, and was also brought in to assist in research and motion practice on complex litigation matters.
Mr. Davis joined the Rodarti Group in 2004, where he counsels clients involved in all aspects of the construction process and represents owners and contractors in construction transactions involving both public and private projects. Mr. Davis’ practice includes drafting and negotiating design, construction, and design/build contracts, as well as other construction-related agreements such as P3 development agreements, and counseling on project delivery and construction insurance. Mr. Davis also represents owners regarding threatened and pending contract disputes, including those involving delays, disruptions, acceleration, scope changes, and other performance-related matters. Mr. Davis has represented clients in early neutral evaluation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation (in both state and federal courts), including a nearly two year construction arbitration involving over 100 contractor claims.
The types of projects for which Mr. Davis has provided contract drafting, negotiating, and other services include the following:
- Large mixed-use projects with residential, retail, office, and parking components.
- Office buildings (core and shell, and tenant improvements).
- Residential condominiums, apartment complexes, townhouse developments, student housing, and single family residential developments.
- Shopping centers and other retail establishments.
- Industrial and warehouse buildings.
- City halls, civic center buildings, court facilities, police facilities, and public libraries.
